Information and Communication Technology (ICT) plays a vital role in achieving Bhutan’s national goal of Gross National Happiness (GNH). Since the introduction of internet services in 1999, ICT has become essential in daily official functions and continues to shape Bhutanese society. With evolving government policies and global developments, ICT now plays an increasingly proactive role in making information accessible, thereby empowering people and enhancing governance. Efforts such as setting up ICT units, launching LAN networks, and creating websites for all 20 Dzongkhags—including Wangdue—are significant steps in this direction. These initiatives not only improve efficiency but also promote transparency and public awareness. The Wangdue Dzongkhag Administration welcomes visitors to its website, hoping it serves as a valuable resource for all.
