In our continued effort to strengthen media development in Bhutan, Commissioner Tshering Cigay Dorji represented the Royal Civil Service Commission at the inauguration of first ever Bhutan Media Forum initiated by the Bhutan Media Foundation.
Commissioner Tshering also participated in the panel discussion titled “Media and Governance in Digital Bhutan: Access, Sustainability, Accountability, Public Interest”. He highlighted the importance of building stronger understanding and collaboration between the media and the civil service to serve the people. Improving access to information remains a shared responsibility, he said.
“If accessibility is an issue, we encourage the media to engage with us. Let the Royal Civil Service Commission know where we can assist and improve,” he shared.
The Bhutan Media Forum, themed “Media in the Age of AI and Digital Transformation,” is being held from March 30–31, bringing together media professionals, and key voices to shape the future of media in Bhutan.
